Here Is How To Gain The Courage To Follow Your Purpose

Last month my mom and I were having a casual conversation while making lunch.

It started as a normal “How was your day conversation”, but I decided to take it to the next level and asked her a couple of question that I’d never asked her before.

She was quiet for so long that I wondered if she had heard me or if she was straight up ignoring me, so I asked her again.

When she was around my age she and my dad had just immigrated to the U.S with two daughters under the age of 7, spoke zero English, and had under $1k to their name.

She wasn’t thinking about her passions and purpose.

All she could really think about was how she was going to build a new life in a country that was so different from what she had known her whole life.

(Raising kids is a purpose in itself so I am not discounting that at all.)

Our casual talk turned serious conversation really got me thinking about how lucky I was to live in a place and time in which we have the ability to truly create our reality.

I won’t get into the whole “how to find my purpose” topic because that’s a totally different post but let’s talk about what how to find the courage to actually follow it.

We all have a purpose that’s not even a question here but being able to follow it, that’s another story.
