My Mind Chose to Forget You

Poem

I try to recollect the memory
But it keeps fading away
I think of the reason for our breakup
But it makes me sway

I thought our love was strong
What kind of bond did we share
I no longer remember the feel of your touch
It was like you kissed me wearing layers

No, I have not gone crazy
I am very much sane
It seems my mind has chosen
To be happy and forget the pain
