3 things I learned in 2020

As the year 2020 is slowly coming to an end, there are plenty of things every one of us has learned. The three things that stuck by me the most are:

Have you ever hung out with someone who is constantly complaining and nothing is ever good enough? And after hanging out with that person you felt drained that you want to go to sleep immediately to recharge. Be careful of those people who suck the energy out of you. Try to talk with them and tell them what kind of effect their complaining (for example) has on your energy level.

On the other hand, there are also a lot of people who are so motivating to others that you just want to start things right away. These are the kind of people that will lift you up.

You say A and the person in front of you understand Z and tries to convince you that you said Z. This can be so frustrating and energy draining. The best thing you can do is politely state the facts and agree to disagree. If this occurs more often with the same person do not partake in conversations with this person.

We all are dealing with it at the moment. The Covid-19 outbreak. Some of us had vacations planned, wanted to get married, and other plans got canceled due to lockdown. Covid-19 is something no one saw coming and so plans/lives changed for a lot of people. Do not live in self-pity that your life is now different than it was before. Instead, try to see some positive sides to this pandemic. I like to believe that every negative situation has a positive side too.
