I hiked to my favorite swimming hole in the Catskills. The day was hot. The water, cold. Glorious.

I watched a young girl run up the river, jumping from rock to rock.

I used to love running upriver like that. No thought, no hesitation, just my body finding the next perfect landing and the next and the next. It was fun and exhilarating.

That’s what my life needs right now. Less thinking, less fear. More trust in my momentum taking me where I need to be, landing and pushing off again, in perfect sync with the earth below my feet.
