Mad As The Sea and Wind

One day the wind skipped across the sea causing the surface to ripple and stir. The sea called out to the wind in anger, demanding that the wind stop. The wind taunted the sea, crying out that the sea was just jealous that it was not as powerful. In a great outrage, the sea began to quake and called for a duel. If the wind thought itself so great, than surely it would win without a doubt.

The arrogant wind roared in response with a great gust that crashed against the mighty waves that had, themselves, begun to rise. The sea’s waves reached for the sky to grab the wind by the throat. The wind’s tendrils wrapped around the watery skyscrapers causing them to return to the surface with a terrifying force.

Back and forth the wind and the waves raged, but a vector was never in sight. The wind knew it the greater and fought ever the more because of it, the sea the same. Although an understanding dawned on both, neither would admit that they may just be of equivalent might. Consumed with the wrath and lunacy that competition evokes, the wind and the sea became enveloped in a war, with pride the puppeteer.
